Why Sleep Grounded?

Grounding during sleep gives us the opportunity to reconnect and get multiple hours of uninterrupted Earthing, at a time where we naturally undergo the most healing and regeneration.  


Unfortunately, modern living has mostly isolated us from the natural frequencies of the Earth.  Everything from wearing rubber soled shoes to the use of synthetic flooring materials, all block our connection to earth.  The Rowland Earthing sheet allows you to restore this connection and keep the body in natural balance, replicating being grounded in nature.

Is It Safe?

Is It Safe?

Sleeping on the sheet would be the equivalent of lying on the bare Earth outside, which makes it very natural and safe. It simply acts as an extension cord, bringing the Earth's energy inside and allowing you to stay grounded while you sleep.


It is important to note that the Earthing Sheet does not run on electricity, nor does it even come into contact with electricity. The plug is designed only to connect to the earth point of the socket and is not connected to the live electrical ports. 


Earthing technology has been around for over 15 years and was designed by a famous electrical engineer named Clint Ober. You can find many of Ober's talks online where he addresses the safety concerns around Earthing products.

The grounding effect can be measured with a multimeter device, which allows one to measure voltage in the body before and after grounding. 


The video below shows how touching the Earthing sheet causes a significant drop in body voltage. 

Why is body voltage important?


When not grounded, you will generally see a high amount of volts being carried by the body and this is often further increased when there is a presence of dirty electricity in the surrounding environment. Body voltage becomes even higher as we move further away from the ground. In fact, for every meter (3.28 feet) you are above the ground, 300 volts of charge will build up in the body. This means if you are in a second story bedroom, your charge would be 1,000 volts, on average. 


When grounded, the body shares the same electrical potential as the Earth and this provides a protective effect against any excess positive charge. 

Washing & Care

Washing & Care Instructions

It is good to wash your Earthing sheet. The material will not be harmed by washing, in fact it is beneficial. Washing strips body sweat and natural skin oils from the silver keeping it conductive. Here's how to wash and care for the sheet:


DOs

- Wash in a washing machine with warm water (40°C / 105°F)

- Use a liquid laundry detergent

- Line dry or dry in a dryer on low (up to 65°C / 150°F)

- Can be ironed on a low heat if desired


DON'Ts

- Don't wash with bleach

- Don't wash with fabric softeners

- Don't use whitening detergents, oxi-detergents OR detergents with oils like lavender or coconut oil

- Don't use dryer sheet fabric softeners

- Don't dry clean


Bleach, lotions and oils can tarnish the silver rendering it non-conductive. Fabric softener can build up on the silver and ruin its conductive properties. It is also good practice to wait one hour to use the Earthing sheet after applying lotion to the skin.

How It Works:

A regular UK plug socket has three holes; the top hole is grounded to the Earth. One end of the Earthing cord is inserted into the Earth plug and the other end is connected to the Rowland Earthing Sheet.


Once the sheet is plugged into a socket via the cord provided, the sheet instantly becomes grounded to the Earth. The Earthing Sheet simply acts as an extension cord, bringing the Earth's energy inside and allowing you to stay grounded while you sleep — the equivalent of being barefoot outside.


The Earthing Sheet can be used either on top or underneath your current bed sheet and both will provide a sufficient Earth connection.

The miracle cure I had been looking for

Honestly I am someone that tries anything to make my sleep better. This is the only thing that worked, and helps my racing mind. Going from either not getting to sleep until 3/4am or waking up at that time and not able to sleep again, to falling asleep within 30mins and through the night. I honestly don't know why this isn't always in the news. Needless to say over the course of the last few years I have recommended it to countless people and immediately converted my mum, who is the super skeptical and frugal, after just one night with it. She doesn't sleep without it now. I have two so I am not without when in the wash, and have what i call my travel one which is the small loose sheet. it goes everywhere with me!

The sheet arrived very quickly. It is of a very high quality. After only a short period of sleeping on it both myself and my husband are feeling the positive impact of it. Efficient ordering, prompt delivery and worthwhile benefits

Efficient ordering and prompt delivery. After four nights sleeping on Rowlands Earthing fitted sheet I can definitely say that I have experienced benefits, better quality but not longer sleep, more energised throughout the day and reduced back pain. My wife also says that she has less back pain. I was sceptical of the claims but after reading many positive reviews thought it worthwhile to try it for myself and so glad that I did because in recent years I have not slept well, wake up still feeling tired with many aches and pains and fatigued during the day. Not claiming a grounding sheet is a cure all but for me it has proven to provide worthwhile benefits.

A miracle!

My husband suffered from agonising pain in his joints for years - there were many days he was unable to walk. Strong medication did not work.
