Why Sleep Grounded?

Grounding during sleep gives us the opportunity to reconnect and get multiple hours of uninterrupted Earthing, at a time where we naturally undergo the most healing and regeneration.  


Unfortunately, modern living has mostly isolated us from the natural frequencies of the Earth.  Everything from wearing rubber soled shoes to the use of synthetic flooring materials, all block our connection to earth.  The Rowland Earthing sheet allows you to restore this connection and keep the body in natural balance, replicating being grounded in nature.


Did you know that the Earth is charged with an energetic field, that we absorb every time we walk barefoot on the Earth’s surface.  The Earth is like a giant battery that is continuously charged with free electrons. Is It Safe?

Is It Safe?

Sleeping on the sheet would be the equivalent of lying on the bare Earth outside, which makes it very natural and safe.  It simply acts as an extension cord, bringing the Earth's energy inside and allowing you to stay grounded while you sleep.


It is important to note that the Earthing Sheet does not run on electricity, nor does it even come into contact with electricity. The plug is designed only to connect to the earth point of the socket and is not connected to the live electrical ports. 


Earthing technology has been around for over 15 years and was designed by a famous electrical engineer named Clint Ober. You can find many of Ober's talks online where he addresses the safety concerns around Earthing products.

The grounding effect can be measured with a multimeter device, which allows one to measure voltage in the body before and after grounding. 


The video below shows how touching the Earthing sheet causes a significant drop in body voltage. 

Why is body voltage important?


When not grounded, you will generally see a high amount of volts being carried by the body and this is often further increased when there is a presence of dirty electricity in the surrounding environment. Body voltage becomes even higher as we move further away from the ground. In fact, for every meter (3.28 feet) you are above the ground, 300 volts of charge will build up in the body. This means if you are in a second story bedroom, your charge would be 1,000 volts, on average. 


When grounded, the body shares the same electrical potential as the Earth and this provides a protective effect against any excess positive charge. 

Washing & Care

Washing & Care Instructions

It is good to wash your Earthing sheet. The material will not be harmed by washing, in fact it is beneficial. Washing strips body sweat and natural skin oils from the silver keeping it conductive. Here's how to wash and care for the sheet:


DOs

- Wash in a washing machine with warm water (40°C / 105°F)

- Use a liquid laundry detergent

- Line dry or dry in a dryer on low (up to 65°C / 150°F)

- Can be ironed on a low heat if desired


DON'Ts

- Don't wash with bleach

- Don't wash with fabric softeners

- Don't use whitening detergents, oxi-detergents OR detergents with oils like lavender or coconut oil

- Don't use dryer sheet fabric softeners

- Don't dry clean


Bleach, lotions and oils can tarnish the silver rendering it non-conductive. Fabric softener can build up on the silver and ruin its conductive properties. It is also good practice to wait one hour to use the Earthing sheet after applying lotion to the skin.

How It Works:

A regular UK plug socket has three holes; the top hole is grounded to the Earth. One end of the Earthing cord is inserted into the Earth plug and the other end is connected to the Rowland Earthing Sheet.


Once the sheet is plugged into a socket via the cord provided, the sheet instantly becomes grounded to the Earth. The Earthing Sheet simply acts as an extension cord, bringing the Earth's energy inside and allowing you to stay grounded while you sleep — the equivalent of being barefoot outside.


The Earthing Sheet can be used either on top or underneath your current bed sheet and both will provide a sufficient Earth connection.

I bought my Husband an Earthing Sheet for Christmas as he was waking up after a couple of hours and not able to get back to sleep he also suffers from aching joints probably from years of manual labour as a Farmer 🧑‍🌾!
He has slept through every night since Christmas 😳

They really do help !

Had mine for about 10 days now. The first three or four nights it didn't seem to be making much difference but then I noticed I wasn't waking and staying awake for hours but going back to sleep quickly. Last night and the night before I slept through until 7-30 a.m., made a drink, read for a bit and fell asleep again until 10-30 a.m. (better put the alarm on for tomorrow as I'm making lunch for friends). I've had fewer back and shoulder aches and my eyes feel awake in the morning - something I haven't experienced since having to use eye drops for glaucoma about seven years ago.

Wow what a delightful difference!

Wow what a delightful difference!

I was hopeful and yet cautious about this product. I suffer from generalised inflammation as well as injury related inflammation due to being a body therapist. Being peri and almost post peri menopausal compounds my symptoms of pain in the night, with associated poor sleep and regular pee breaks. Tried all sorts and yet this!

Fourth night of no pain, fewer pee stops and a notable enhanced quality of sleep. So thankful and for me, it seems to be working, so I would recommend.
